Physical Education in the Qualification Phase

Physical education is taught across all grades and, if possible, co-educationally.

In the Upper School, two sports lessons are taught per week. Various sports are chosen in the four semesters, and one sports course per semester is compulsory. The choice is made in such a way that the students have taken at least one individual and one team sport at the end of the qualification phase.

In addition to the compulsory areas, individual and team sports, various elective sports are offered. The specific offer within elective sport I may vary depending on the teachers' offer.  Elective sports II are set with skiing and climbing. Students have the option to choose between both sports. Both sports courses are offered in parallel as a block course in the first week of January. For this, 2 - 3 holiday days are used so that as little teaching time as possible is lost. They take place in the first semester of the 11th grade, but count for the second semester of the 12th grade, so that there is a reduction in workload for the Abitur. Both experienced and newcomers can participate in both sports.
